Church of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women

The church was erected in the 16th century by the Moscow merchant Ivan Syrkov. Its austere and laconic décor as well as the large crypt suggest that it was intended as a storage space for the trade treasury and goods. The church crypt currently includes an ethnographic corner. The display introduces visitors to the arts and crafts practiced in Russian villages in the second half of the 19th ̵ early 20th centuries, with workshops offered in spinning and weaving, felting, knitting with various types of needles, and making rag dolls. This display is especially recommended to families with children aged five and older.
