The programme Novgorod narrators will welcome guests on the trail of legends with a funny puppet show about Curlyhead the bogatyr (hero-knight) who courted the beautiful Ilmera, the evil boyar Dormidont who put spokes in their wheels, and the fairy-tale animal Indrik which Curlyhead the bogatyr rode to the faraway Island of Buyan in the ocean blue.
Visitors will be able to take photos next to the winged unicorn which Novgorod folks call Indrik. If you walk in a circle alongside it, you will see a miracle in your own life.
The guides will tell you about the ancient Book of the Dove, which contains ancient stories about Princes Sloven and Rus who built cities in Novgorodian Rus; about the exotic animal the “Corcodile” that sank merchant ships; about Sadko, a merchant who found himself before the sea king; and about the exotic animals on the Magdeburg Gate of St Sophia Cathedral in Novgorod.
Novgorod entertainers will amuse guests with merry games, boisterous songs and funny tricks.
Tour cost 4,900 roubles per 1 hour and 20 minutes tour for a group of up to 45 people. The tasting of Novgorod spice cakes and honey: upwards of 800 roubles per group.
