Nikolai Yevseyev fought in the Great Patriotic War first as a partisan, and from 1942 he served on the Baltic Front as a wireman in an artillery unit’s operations platoon. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, as well as the For Valour medal. Since 1992, he has been living in the Poddorsky District. He also received a medal For Victory over Germany in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War. In 2009, he was awarded the medal In Memory of Veliky Novgorod’s 1150 Anniversary, and in 2014 he received a badge of honour 1150 Years of Russian Statehood.
