Mikhail Chekhov was a writer, journalist, and Anton Chekhov’s brother. He loved to write for children and published the Zolotoye Detstvo magazine. In 1905, Mikhail bought the Klyuchi estate in the Borovichsky District’s Pirusskaya area, and owned the place for seven years. Today, nothing remains of the Chekhov estate. In the 1920s, its main building was disassembled and transferred to Lykoshino, where it later perished in flames.
