In the weekend of 10-12 July, residents and guests of Staraya Russa will have an opportunity to visit a mobile exhibition, The Victory Train: Science during the Great Patriotic War. For three days, the exhibition train will remain at the Staraya Russa train station.
The Victory Train is the world’s first immersive travelling exhibition located aboard a train. The exhibition features a veteran railroad worker who tells the story of the Great Patriotic War.
The virtual guide, Lidia, who worked as a steam locomotive driver, will share her memories about the pre-war spring of 1941, the horrors of the war and the victory May 1945.
The exhibition features 50 video projectors, 18 video walls, 12 touch desks, dimensional sound, theatre lights, mechanical special effects and many other things. All of this creates an immersive atmosphere and the impression of being aboard a military train at different period of the war era.
The exhibition will be open in Staraya Russa from 10 to 12 July.
