Novgorod tourism videos racked up honours at the Wonder of Russia contest.
Last week the winners of the regional stages of the Wonder of Russia 2021 nationwide festival contest of tourism videos were announced. As many as 16 produced by the Novgorodian Rus tourist office won prizes in 9 out of 16 categories:
Short films
Legends, myths, tales
Recreation and wellness
Tourist gifts and souvenirs
Adventure and outdoor tourism
Nature
Tourist itineraries and tours
Event tourism
Tourist destinations
For example, videos about Novgorod tourism businesses, such as the Karelinn Hotel, Krasnaya Izba Tourist Information Centre, and Drive Park go-kart track took the top honours. Videos on the Great Valdai Trail and the Gosudareva Doroga interregional itinerary also won their categories.
#Новгородские_Усадьбы (Novgorod Estates), #ЖиваяИстория (Living History), #ЛичныйГид (Personal Guide) and #ВНовгородЗа60секунд (To Novgorod in 60 Seconds) also won prizes.
This year, over 1,000 videos about 300 films, television reports and video blogs, as well as several hundred photo reports were submitted to the Wonder of Russia contest.
But the contest is not over yet. Now a number of these winning projects will be selected for the Europe and Asia semi-finals.
