Day of Family, Love and Loyalty in the Novgorod Region

Every year on 8 July, Russia marks the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty. It is timed to coincide with the holiday commemorating Peter and Fevronia of Murom, the patron saints of family and marriage. This year the Novgorod Region will not hold mass events on Day of Family, Love and Loyalty. However, over 300 events will take place in municipal districts and Veliky Novgorod, including the ceremony to present the main award of the day, the medal For Love and Loyalty, to the best families of the region, drawing and photo exhibitions, flash mobs, contests in social media, mini-concerts, congratulations, hotlines on family law, and social support measures for families. Most of the events will be held online.
We invite all people of the Novgorod Region to take an active part in all events dedicated to Day of Family, Love and Loyalty, including regional online events:
FAMILY PARADE ONLINE FLASH MOB
As part of the campaign, people living in Novgorod and the region are invited to post photos of their families in the official VKontakte group of the registry office and magistrate support committee of the Novgorod Region, in the corresponding photo album: Family Parade Online at https://vk.com/album-76121139_273331121 (please add one family photo).
Please write your last name and place of residence (district and town/village) under the photo. Photos may have captions briefly describing the family, sharing their secrets of family happiness and their messages on the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty.
All photos we receive will be given the same design featuring symbols of the day, and on 8 July the parade of photos will launch on social media with #ПАРАДСЕМЕЙОНЛАЙН (Family Parade Online) GIFT OF DAISY FLASHMOB
Daisies are a symbol of the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty. Considered a symbol of love from time immemorial, daisies are the most beloved and widespread flower in Russia.
Participants and their children can draw daisies on paper or with chalk on asphalt, or make a handmade daisy and post it on social media with the hashtag #ПОДАРИРОМАШКУ (Give a Daisy) Every participant can write a holiday greeting on 8 July and share it with their daisy on social media.

EVERYTHING STARTS WITH LOVE POETRY FLASHMOB
Participants can recite poems or extracts from their favourite works on love and family, and post videos of it on social media with the hashtag #ВСЕНАЧИНАЕТСЯСЛЮБВИ (Everything Starts with Love) Every participant can pass the baton to their family and friends.

VIDEO CONTEST: HOLIDAY GREETINGS FOR THE DAY OF FAMILY, LOVE AND LOYALTY
The main prize is a family photoshoot at the Marriage Registration Palace of Veliky Novgorod.
Families taking part in the contest can record a video (up to one minute long) wishing everyone a happy Day of Family, Love and Loyalty. Email your videos to the registry office and magistrate support committee of the Novgorod Region zags@novreg.ru

On 7-8 July, the videos will be uploaded to the committee’s official VKontakte group https://vk.com/zags_oodms, where you can vote for the best one until the end of the month.
