Partisan Land memorial complex
The Partisan Land memorial complex opened after renovations in Belebyolka, Poddorsky District, on 1 August 2019.
The complex includes:
The Partisan Movement Hall in the Belebyolka Culture Centre named after partisan Yevdokiya Orlova, and the Partisan Camp open air museum
The interiors have been decorated on the basis of descriptions provided by Ivan Vinogradov, a journalist, writer, poet, Merited Worker of Culture of the RSFSR and partisan, as well as other partisans and local residents.
Guests will be immersed in the atmosphere of a real war-time partisan camp, see how partisans lived, where meetings were held to discuss plans, and how frontline newspapers were printed. They can also visit the partisan bakery and sample freshly baked partisan bread.
The programme of the Partisan Land patriotic educational project includes a guided tour, during which guests can learn about the history of the partisan movement, famous partisans and their heroic exploits, and the life of partisan units.
These tours are designed for different groups of visitors. A highlight tour lasts 90 to 120 minutes.
The museum is a structural part of the Poddorye Local History and Lore Museum.
