The memorial sign to Hero of the Soviet Union Aidogdy Takhirov was unveiled on 28 April 2017. During the war, he commanded a unit in a rifle company of the 87th Separate Turkmen Rifle Brigade of the 11th Army of the North-Western Front. In the small hours of 30 January 1943, he was on duty guarding the village of Bolshiye Dubovitsy when it was attacked by German troops. Aidogdy Takhirov was wounded and taken prisoner. The other five servicemen died, but not before taking out 47 Germans. Senior sergeant Aidogdy Takhirov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously).
