The Porcelain Chime eco-museum was set up by the staff of the Proletarsky District House of Culture using grants from the Cultural Mosaic 2015 national contest among small cities held by the Yelena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation, and the 11th Novgoroditsa contest of innovative creative projects.
The guided tour includes:
- A tour of the exhibition hall featuring the history of Proletary and the porcelain factory; information about Heroes of Labour, order holders and generations of workers; a display of porcelain items from the time of Ivan Kuznetsov until the present, from the old thick-walled Kuznetsov
- Cup to elegant tea sets bearing the sign of quality,
- interactive workshop with a multimedia recreation of the porcelain shop atmosphere,
an instructive board game about porcelain; a workshop on making porcelain souvenirs, a pottery master class.
- An exhibition of a potter’s lifestyle and a porcelain painting workshop,
- A tea party with cakes wraps up the guided tour. The museum has a porcelain shop.
