The museum is a reconstruction of a medieval manor in the open air. The place is unique in that it was created on the basis of archaeological research and most accurately reproduces the ancient peasant life. The main object of the museum is the saltworks, where you can get acquainted with the traditional salt making of Staraya Russa and with a unique collection of salt from different parts of the world.
