The museum is located on the second floor of a two-storied brick building — a monument of architecture built in the late 19th century. This is the former home of merchants Kurzhenko — the founders of glassworks in Malaya Vishera. The museum fund has over 9000 items. There are paintings, glassware, objects of natural science collection, everyday life, ethnography, numismatics, photographs, and documents.
