Gornaya Msta Museums of Borovichi Rapids and Paleontology

The museums are located at the Beli Rapids campsite.

• In the museum, you will learn about navigation along the Borovichi Rapids, which were considered the most dangerous section of Vyshny Volochyok waterway, with Msta River as its part.
• The Gornaya Msta Museum of Paleontology features a collection of ancient plant and animal fossils that represent the Carboniferous Period. You will see an abundance of inhabitants of the ancient warm sea that used to cover this area 300 million years ago, such as corals, sponges, sea lilies, bryozoans, gastropods, brachiopods, and trilobites.
