In the heart of the Kremlin, you will find world-famous collec- tions of medieval archaeological artifacts and Russian icons. The exhibition includes household items and armament, decora- tions and signs of royal authority. Among the unique antiquities, you will find the first Russian book — the Novgorod Psalter, and famous birchbark letters that preserved «voices» of ancient Novgorodians. Currently, the building has the main expositions of the museum, such as «Russian Icon of 11th-19th centuries».
Among the masterpieces, there are the most ancient icon of St. Peter and St. Paul of St. Sophia Cathedral, the «Miracle from the icon of the Sign» and the first signed icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker for the authorship of Alexa Petrov.
