A regional event devoted to the day of founding the partisan movement behind enemy lines during the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War. This date is included in the Novgorod Region’s calendar of memorable dates. By tradition, on this day, the participants hold a big rally and ceremonies of lighting a guerrilla fire and laying wreaths at military graves. Guests are welcome to attend interactive venues, visit the Partisan Movement museum complex, have a taste of soldier’s porridge and bread made from a wartime recipe, and take part in the Memory patriotic song festival.
