In 1882-1889. spent the summer months with his family at the estate of Volgino, Borovichi district. His "dacha" letters to colleagues have been preserved, from which one can get an idea of the fruitful scientific activity that the scientist did not stop even during the "vaccine time". The last time the Veselovskys rented a dacha was in the Bushino estate on the Velgia River in 1901. The son of the Veselovskys, Alexander Alexandrovich (1880-1936), who visited Borovichi from an early age, is known as the translator of the French novel Tristan and Isolde (1903) and the author of the study Love Lyrics XVIII (1909). Since 1921 - professor of the Russian language department at the Vologda Institute of Public Education. The estates of Volgino and Bushino have not been preserved.
