Takhirov Aydogdy
On the night of January 29 to January 30, 1943, Senior Sergeant Takhirov Aydogdy was on guard, leading a group of fighters. After heavy mortar fire, the Nazis launched an offensive in the area of our unit. The outpost was attacked by a company of drunken invaders. Takhirov courageously accepted the battle, despite the huge numerical superiority of the enemy. Combat guards opened fire on the Nazis without moving a single step. Soon three fighters were killed, and senior sergeant Takhirov was left alone against the numerous enemy. He continued to fire, preventing the invaders from advancing further, ignoring the wounds received. When Takhirov's and his comrades' automatic magazines were used up, he, with grenades, bleeding, rushed at the enemy, shouting: "For the Motherland! For Stalin!" The Germans trembled at first, but seeing only one fearless warrior, they surrounded him. A hand-to-hand fight ensued. Having received a number of severe wounds, Takhirov was taken unconscious by the Germans into their trenches. In this unequal battle, he destroyed 47 Fritz. The courageous warrior alone thwarted the advance of the enemy company.
Being subjected to painful tortures, Comrade Takhirov did not betray the military secret to the enemy with a single word. The hero's corpse, which was subsequently found, bore traces of brutal torture: the entire back was covered in bloody scars from blows, the wounds were torn open with a blunt object, there were bruises and bruises on the face, finger marks from suffocation on the neck, and the legs were tied with a rope.
Takhirov Aydogdy is worthy of the posthumous award of the title of "Hero of the Soviet Union".
