Gorbachev Ivan Nikitich

Talented Borovichi artist, painter and graphic artist. He was born in the village of Chertova, Nikolo-Moshenskaya volost, Borovichi district (now the Moshenskaya district) in a peasant family. He went to the front in November 41st. In May 43 he was wounded. Survived. But he did everything and painted since then only with his left hand. He painted a lot. Participated in many art exhibitions of 1940-2000: in Borovichi, Novgorod and district centers of the Novgorod region, in Moscow and abroad (Finland, USA). Works by I.N. Gorbachev are in the Novgorod Museum of Artistic Culture, the Borovichi Museum of Local Lore, the Koncha Museum-Reserve of A.V. Suvorov, regional museums of local lore, in numerous private collections in Russia and abroad
