First stop
The Church of the Intercession in Pokrov-Mologa. Visitors will learn about Pokrov-Mologa, the ancient part of Pestovo, and will see tourist attractions, including:
- A temporary settlement of Finno-Ugric hunters
- The Church of the Intercession in Pokrov-Mologa (history of the church, architectural features, the clergy)
- The city’s oldest wooden house of the Lavrov-Nimensky priests (1878)
Second stop
Zheleznodorozhnaya, Vokzalnaya and Pochtovaya streets. The history of Pestovo, beginning with the establishment of a workers’ small town and the Mologa Les timber concession, a tour of tourist landmarks, including:
- The railway terminal (1926)
- The water tower (1930)
- The Himmelsbach brothers’ house (1924)
- The lumber mill park
Third stop
The military cemetery (1941-1945) in Kutuzova Street, the wartime history of Pestovo and Military Hospital No. 2750
Fourth stop
A tour of houses located in the central Sovetskaya, Lenina, Pionerov and Profsoyuzov streets, including:
- The Doctors’ House
- The Church of St John of Kronstadt
- The Merchant’s Tower House in Pionerov Street
- The house of merchant Anikin
- The house of Samarsky-Bykhovets (once occupied by the local Interior Ministry/NKVD department)
- The editorial and printing house (1931)
- A mansion house near the post office
- The central garden with a monument of Lenin (Stalin)
Fifth stop
A tour of the local history and lore museum, including:
- The Hall of Military Glory (permanent exhibition)
- The Hall of the Region’s Spiritual History (permanent exhibition)
- Two halls with temporary exhibitions
