Famous Russian statesman. A graduate of the Imperial School of Law (1860), he was successfully promoted. In the 1860s - Commissar for Peasant Affairs in the Kingdom of Poland, Vice-Governor of Plotsk and Kielce; in the 1870s he served in the Ministry of the Interior; in the 1880s - comrade (deputy) prosecutor of the 1st Department of the Senate, chief prosecutor of the Department of the Senate; in 1891 - 1894 - comrade of the Ministry of Justice, senator (1894), since 1895 - comrade of the minister and minister of the interior, since 1899 - member of the State Council. In 1906, in 1914 - 1916 - Chairman of the Council of Ministers. After the abdication of Nicholas II, whom, as a true supporter of the monarchy, he sincerely revered, illness and tragic death followed. On December 11, 1917, at their dacha near Sochi, its inhabitants were brutally murdered - the paralyzed Ivan Logginovich Goremykin, his wife, daughter, son-in-law ... The rich family estate of the Goremykins, where Ivan Logginovich was born, was called Beloye (in worldly - "Town"). It was located in the Borovichsky district of the Lzichsky volost in the Prokopyevsko-Belsky churchyard and belonged to his ancestors (Lupandins - Goremykins) from the end of the 16th century. The estate was located on the right high picturesque bank of the Msta, where the Belaya River flows into it, hence its name. A large wooden house with 22 rooms, built on the site of the old one in 1846, a two-story outbuilding with colored stained-glass windows, solid outbuildings were surrounded by an old century-old park. At present, an outbuilding, some outbuildings, and the remains of a park have been preserved from the estate. This is a unique corner in the current village of Lyubytino, the former ancient village of Beloye in Borovichi.
