The Novgorod Region is open to tourists from other regions of the Russian Federation. Movement around the region is not restricted; no quarantine is required. Covid-19 testing is available at the Biomedical Centre at 7 Korolyova Street, Veliky Novgorod, phone +7 8162 677 193.

There is no quarantine in the region.

Facemasks are mandatory in parking lots, elevators, train stations, taxis and public transport, as well as when visiting religious facilities or other public spaces. Please keep a distance of 1.5 metres.

Stores can deny service to customers without masks.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting shopping malls, shops, theatres and catering establishments.

People over the age of 65 are advised to refrain from visiting public places and limit social contacts.

Public transport and taxis are operating without restrictions.

Hotels are operating as usual.

For accommodation, hotels will require your passport and one of the following:
1. A QR code or certificate confirming you have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19
2. A negative PCR test.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons will have to present ID and:
1. A Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate
2. A negative PCR test.

The following public places also require a QR code or certificate confirming you have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 (for foreign citizens and stateless persons, a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate) or a negative PCR test and ID:
— cafes and restaurants (6 am to 11 pm, except for delivery and takeaway services)
— museums, exhibitions and libraries
— theatres and cinemas (with occupancy limited to 50%)
— fitness centres (with the number of guests at any one time limited to one person per 4 sq m of space)
— shopping and entertainment centres
— hookah bars (6 am to 11 pm)
— group tours are allowed indoors with no more than 20 people; outdoors tours may have no more than 40 people (please keep your distance)
— the 50% occupancy rule extends to tourist buses

Visitors over 18 can attend most tourist attractions upon showing a QR code or certificate confirming they have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 (for foreign citizens and stateless persons, a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate) or a negative PCR test and ID.

The following public facilities are open (please wear a mask inside and keep a distance):
— beauty salons (by appointment)
— baths and saunas (by appointment)
— parks
— shops with a separate entrance
— spa resorts and children's camps

Closed:
— night clubs
— children's entertainment centres

Fishing and hunting are allowed

Large entertainment and cultural events have been suspended. Occupancy in theatres is limited to 50%, and visitors must present a QR code or a certificate confirming they have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 (for foreign citizens and stateless persons, a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate) and ID.
