The Centre is located on the picturesque bank of the Volkhov River, by the walls of St George Monastery, the oldest functioning monastery in Russia.
The Centre is the only facility in the Novgorod Region that provides rehabilitation services to children in three forms — inpatient treatment, semi-inpatient treatment during the day, and at home for children with the greatest needs that cannot be taken to hospital for rehabilitation.
A new building of the Centre with 100 beds and an area of 6,660 sq m was opened in 2018 and provides the full range of rehabilitation services, including:

- Okkervil Jacuzzi for underwater massage, classic balneological procedures, hydro and aero massage.

This bath is used to treat chronic musculoskeletal inflammation and dystrophic changes, peripheral paralyses, some forms of rheumatism, vasomotor dyscrasia, post-traumatic conditions, restless legs syndrome, convulsions and limb hypomyotonia.
It dilates blood vessels, improves metabolism, stimulates secretion and reduces blood clotting.
- Circular showers are a medical and preventive water treatment for the skin, as well as subcutaneous and muscle tissues. The deep impact tones up the body.
